Watlington House is a 17th-century brick built building, with a large walled garden. It is a grade II* listed building and is reputed to be the oldest surviving secular building in Reading. It is owned by a trust and exists to serve other charities and local community groups which can make use of its facilities by renting office space or by using the hall in the rear garden. Groups using the house include All Jazzed Up, Balfolk, Berkshire Youth, JK Yoga Flow, Readifolk, Reading Swing Jam and The Mills Archive, .
